Exploring South Korea-Central Section Region

Chungcheongbuk-do Province and the province of Chungcheongnam-do are located in the west central Korean peninsula. Chungcheongbuk-do is the only province that most caged by the mainland in Korea, but with completed construction of the Government Complex in the capital Chungcheongnam-do, Daejeon, and the new international airport just opened in the capital Chungcheongbuk-do, Cheongju, the two provinces is now being transformed into strategic center of the domestic economy.
Daejeon is within a two hour drive south of Seoul by car and is the meeting place of railways Seoul-Busan and Seoul-Gwangju-Mokpo. The city is growing rapidly become one of the science center and the main technology in Korea. Exhibition Park, Daejeon place to hold the International Exhibition of 1993, has been renovated and converted into a science park to the public.
Buyeo, the last capital of the Baekje Kingdom (year 18 BC -660 AD) have Buyeo National Museum which stores the complete collection of over 7,000 ancient relics from the period Geumgang River flowing along Gyeryongsan, one of the most famous mountain in the region. As the center of Baekje culture, indeed, this region is rich with cultural artifacts and historic relics are typical.
Scattered in between the peaks and hills along the back of the Mountains Sobaeksan is a wealth of natural and historic sites are abundant. These historic sites include the level of seven pagodas Yongdusa, Palsangjeon wooden pagoda, Sangdangsanseong fort, and Places of Worship Chungnyeolsa Admiral Yi Sun-sin. Temples, hot springs, national parks, and other natural wonders are waiting to visit in this place.
Chungjuho Lake offers a variety of exciting water sports in the region central Korea. Cruise ships along the rivers between Chungju and Danyang, giving passengers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
Gosudonggul Cave surprise visitors with the glittering stalactites in various shapes and sizes. Chungju orchards are one of the major fruit-producing region delicious apples. Yellow tobacco is also a special product area, and ginseng from this area which already has a worldwide reputation.
