Escape to the jewel of the Mediterranean! Home to Zeus, Athena, and the history of the gods, Greece holds wonder and enchantment for all who visit. According to Greek Mythology, this is the site where Athena and Poseidon battled over who would be the patron of the city. Obviously, Athena won, and Athens bears her name. Other sites near the Parthenon include a temple to Zeus, the location of the Temple to the Unknown God where the Apostle Paul delivered his address to the Athenian people, and an ancient amphitheater, known as the Herodeion, which, at one point, was the center to all Athenian culture.
Also in Athens, visitors will want to visit the historical museum. This museum houses many of the original statues and frescoes from the Acropolis and throughout ancient Greece. Connecting visitors and locals to Greece’s past is key to building a strong and thriving culture. Nearby, visit the Olympeion. According to mythology, this was a temple originally dedicated to Deucalion, and later re-dedicated to Zeus. Antiochos Epiphanes IV tried to restore the temple and add to it before dedicating it to himself.
For the maritime travelers, catch a ferry or tour boat to one of the nearby Greek islands. From Athens, it is easy to island hop to one of the many islands for a Greek experience that is far from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. Many visitors enjoy Santorini and Mykonos. Santorini gives visitors a glimpse into the ideal island life. Home to hot springs and the ancient location of Thira, Santorini is what comes to mind when thinking of Greece. Thira belonged to both the Hellenistic (Greek) peoples and later, the Romans. The ruins still stand today and provide a great glimpse of historic island life. Mykonos, with the blue-topped dome buildings, and other wonders is a beautiful island. Great beaches, amazing nightlife, and fantastic food make this a great escape for the traveler and the local alike.

Phuket is located off the southwest coast of Thailand and is the country’s largest island. Kamala Beach
Kamala has a little bit of everything a surfer could want from a beach. Consistent waves with swells of up to 10 feet, reefs to provide stable sandbanks and a point break for the more experienced at the sport. The best breaks at Kamala are at the northern end of the beach. Kamala is also the location of the Kamala Go Surfing Contest, for those who may be looking to compete.
Nai Harn
Nai Harn is the southernmost beach on Phuket’s west coast. While it is considered one of the best spots to ride, it also has the advantage of being one of the least crowded beaches. Long rides and occasional barrels await one at Nai Harn. The southern end of the beach has a permanent sandbank and provides the fastest ride. The northern end has a beach-and-reef bank and produces some of the best swells.
Surin
Surin is an all-around great surfing location, with consistently good surfing at both ends of the beach. Good waves come in at high and low-mid tide and can reach up to 7 feet. There are some rocks in the middle of the beach, however, so one should keep his or her eyes open.
One of the best things about Phuket holidays for surfing is that riding waves is not a big cultural pastime in this region. The number of local surfers is at a minimum, so even when one beach is crowded, there are others equally good that have plenty of room to spare. Unfortunately, the lack of surfing enthusiasm also means that there are few places to rent equipment or, for the beginner, to get some lessons. Deciding to Make a Change
For as long as I can remember my aunt Rose has been really heavy. She always has to buy Always for Me plus size swim wear and it’s always really bothered her.
